All Souls Novena

All Souls’ Day is significant to the Legionaries of Christ. Every year, our seminarians and priests visit our local cemetery and pray for the faithful departed.  This has been a long-standing tradition, so please join us in this powerful Novena—nine consecutive days of the Holy Mass.

Why you should enroll today:

1. To help the souls in Purgatory. Our prayers, sacrifice, and especially the Mass can help the souls in purgatory be released from purgatory and enter the gates of heaven.
2. To practice charity toward the deceased. Praying for the departed is a spiritual work of mercy. It’s an act of love toward those who can no longer help themselves; it reflects the catholic belief that love and connection extend beyond death.
3. To unite with the Church’s liturgical season. All Souls’ Day is part of the Church’s focus on the faithful departed in early November.
4. To strengthen your hope in eternal life. While praying for others, you’re reminded of Heaven, God’s mercy, and the promise of the Resurrection, deepening your faith and preparing you for eternal life.
5. To honor your loved ones who have passed away. This novena can be specifically offered for family members or friends who have died, giving you an excellent way to remember them with love and entrusting them to God’s mercy.
